Achilles Load Restoration™ – Phase 3:
Pre-Elastic Readiness
Unilateral Strength & Load Consolidation Phase
Not sure if this is right for you? Book a consult
This is the final phase in the Achilles Load Restoration™ system — your bridge from strength-focused rehabilitation to the Achilles Elastic Capacity™ program.
If you’ve completed Phase 2 and now demonstrate stable, pain-free unilateral strength, Phase 3 prepares you for faster, more elastic demand. This is not yet plyometric loading — but the intensity, direction, and control required here are substantial. Expect to load 1.5× your body weight, manage longer levers, and work through deeper positions with absolute integrity.
Phase 3 builds positional strength, angle-specific control, and neuromuscular precision. You’ll consolidate concentric–eccentric strength across straight and bent-knee variations while continuing long-duration isometrics. Light-speed exposures may be introduced — but only under strict control.
You’ll train 3× per week with 72-hour spacing between Achilles loads. Supplementary off-day circuits are included to maintain ankle rhythm, foot control, and trunk robustness.
Entry Requirements (Do Not Skip)
-
To enter Phase 3, you must demonstrate:
-
30-second single-leg isometric heel raise with 20% BW added
-
Pain-free single-leg calf raises (both knees straight and bent)
-
No symptom escalation with longer range loading
-
Confidence under unilateral depth and load
-
If you haven’t reached this — go back to Phase 2.
Exit Criteria
You’ll complete Phase 3 once you can:
-
Sustain isometric load on one leg for 30 seconds with added weight (≈0.5× BW)
-
Demonstrate 6–8 slow single-leg reps with added weight (≈0.5× BW)
-
Tolerate low-end plyometric impacts (mini hops, lateral skips)
-
Meet elastic-readiness markers (position, speed, control)
These are your launchpad metrics for entering the Achilles Elastic Capacity™ program.
Continue the System
This program is not standalone.
It completes the 12-week Load Restoration system and prepares you for dynamic rebounding, agility, and return to running.
How This Program Fits With Achilles Elastic Capacity™
Achilles Load Restoration™ is part of a progressive system, not a standalone fix.
Typical pathway:
-
Acute off-loading / early rehab
-
Achilles Load Restoration™ ← you are here (in phase 3 of 3)
-
Return-to-running or return-to-sport programming
Skipping steps increases reinjury risk.
This program exists to prevent that.
This program is for educational and training purposes and does not replace individual medical diagnosis or treatment.
